At The OT Village, I’m passionate about helping children grow, learn, and thrive in the places that matter most to them, at home, at school, and in their community. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, I take a relationship-centred and client-focused approach, making sure every session is meaningful, fun, and tailored to your child’s unique needs and goals.

I work alongside families to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and dreams. Through play-based activities, I help children develop important skills such as fine and gross motor abilities, sensory processing, emotional regulation and independence in everyday tasks such as dressing and self-care. I can also support your child’s participation and confidence at school, collaborating closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach.

Parents and carers are an important part of the journey, therefore I provide, practical home strategies and personalised programs that can be woven into daily routines. This may include building resilience, improving focus or learning new skills. My goal is to create a supportive environment where your child can shine. I also provide NDIS-aligned reports to track progress and support ongoing goals, making it easier to navigate the funding process.

Our Services

  • School and PreSchool-based Occupational Therapy

At The OT Village, I bring therapy into your child’s school or preschool, helping them develop the skills they need to participate fully in their learning environment. This may be targeted through improving attention, handwriting, motor coordination, social skills or emotional regulation. I work closely with educators to create strategies that fit naturally into the classroom routine. By supporting your child where they spend much of their day, we can make progress that is meaningful, practical and useful.

  • Home-based Occupational Therapy

Home is where children feel most comfortable, and it’s often the best place to work on building independence in everyday tasks. In home-based sessions, I use real-life routines and familiar surroundings to help your child strengthen skills like dressing, eating, toileting, play, and emotional regulation. This approach also makes it easy for parents and carers to be actively involved, learning practical strategies to support progress in daily life.

  • Functional Capacity Assessment

A Functional Capacity Assessment provides a clear picture of your child’s abilities, challenges, and support needs across different areas of daily living. This comprehensive assessment is tailored to the NDIS framework and includes detailed observations, interviews, and standardised measures where appropriate. The final report outlines your child’s current capacity, recommended supports and goals. This helps to guide therapy planning and assist with NDIS funding applications or plan reviews.

What to Expect

When you begin your journey with The OT Village, I’ll start by reaching out to you to explain the process and send you an intake form to complete. This helps me understand your child’s needs, strengths, and goals right from the start. Once I receive your completed form, I’ll get in touch to update you on the status and organise a time for us to meet.

Our first session will be an initial assessment and observation with your child. During this time, I’ll gather information through play, activities and conversation to build a comprehensive overview of their skill development areas. Following this, I’ll work collaboratively with you and where appropriate with your child’s educators, to develop individualised goals that are meaningful and achievable.

Once goals are set, we’ll schedule a regular session time and begin therapy. My sessions focus on building skills in a way that is engaging for your child and practical for everyday life. I value a relationship-based approach, so I work closely with both parents and schools to ensure strategies are consistent and transferable between home, school, and the wider community.

Goals will be reviewed each term to celebrate progress, adjust strategies if needed and ensure we are always working towards the best possible outcomes. I’ll also check in regularly and provide handovers so you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
